Turkey, giant pita bread for Ramadan

Turkish baker makes a 2.2 meter pita bread for Ramadan

A Turkish baker in the Kars province made in his oven a giant 2.2-meter long, 14-kilogram Ramadan pita bread (Ramazan pidesi, in Turkish), on which he drew the message with seeds Evde kal Türkiye (Stay Home, Turkey) to raise awareness about the coronavirus. After putting it up for sale, a client paid 150 liras to buy it and distribute it among his neighbours, according to tradition.
