Emre Demir is a promising young player in Turkish football. At 15, she was the youngest scorer in the history of the Turkish league.
Barça has signed Emre Demir, a Turkish player from Kayserispor and a young promise of Turkish football, as the Catalan club announced yesterday in a press release, confirming that the 17-year-old midfielder will join the ranks of Barcelona B from the next season.
Emre, until now a Yukatel Kayserispor player – a first division team currently in the middle of the Turkish league table – comes to the FC Barcelona with a contract for 2 million euros that will link him to the club until 2027, with a termination clause of 400 million euros, according to the statement.
Kayserispor confirmed yesterday also on Twitter the transfer of the player to Barça, and that he will join his new team next season, in line with UEFA regulations. Emre Demir, international with the lower categories, stands out for his good touch with the left foot, and although in his previous team he played in the midfield, he can also perform as a forward. After debuting only 2 years ago in the Turkish Super League, he became the youngest scorer in the history of the league in his country.
